The Meat Sheet
The full story behind this page can be found here.
The short version is that this year I’m keeping track of my meat consumption.
Happy meat items will be in regular type.
Sad meat items will be in bold type.
If I am unsure, I will assume they are sad meat until proven otherwise.
* (Note 3/17: I know I am way behind, but I’ve got notes. Think it may still be salvageable. Listings from 2/28 – 3/16 are posted at an 80% confidence level. Perhaps it’s karma for encouraging others to forget their resolutions.)

haha, looks like you’re fast realizing how quickly you start to consume less meat once you start trying to eat “good” meat. i suppose that’s as it should be (says michael pollan’s voice inside my head).
We got a chest freezer and get a butchered half a pig from a local farmer who feeds the pig mostly left over dairy suff from the Strauss Dairy in Pt Reyes. There must be a local farmer who raises pigs somewhere near your. Imagine a freezer full of bacon. 18 lbs of bacon per half pig. Yum.
This is amazing.
