Funday: Meat, Cheese & Freaks

August 8, 2014

Oh, it’s Friday. I should probably send you into the weekend with tales of cocktails or thoughts on what wine to drink during these unseasonably cool summer nights. I could tell you where to find duck eggs for a decadent weekend omelette at home, or remind you about some of the better brunch options in the area. Or maybe it would be better to point you to some inspiring recipe from a local food blogger who really knows her stuff.

Instead, I’m going to share some of the press releases I’ve gotten over the past few days. Hey, it’s part of the deal. I really like how clean the FLB is with predominantly just one post of original content per day. Yes, there are rare exceptions when I deviate from the script. But for the most part, people who come to the blog can expect a fresh story every day.

Sure, some may be better than others. But that’s how it goes.

Still, I can’t write about everything. And I believe that those folks who have taken the time to reach out to the FLB in order to spread their message, should get some kind of reward for their bravery.

So without further ado, here’s what the PR community wants you to know.

Texas de Brazil is Now Open in Albany

Crossgates Mall is Now Home to the Company’s Fifth New York Location

(Dallas, TX; August 5, 2014) – Texas de Brazil, the nation’s premier Brazilian steakhouse has just opened in Albany, New York.  The new location was welcomed by Crossgates Mall and joins four other New York locations: Manhattan, Syracuse, Yonkers and Buffalo.

The new 7,500 sq. foot restaurant features a stunning chef’s table, an open-view grill in the dining room and a bar/lounge area.  The space accommodates 230 guests and also offers indoor patio dining.

“Many residents of New York State already experience our elegant atmosphere and unique menu,” stated Salim Asrawi, Chief Operating Officer of Texas de Brazil.  “We look forward to bringing our authentic Southern Brazilian cuisine to the New York State Capital for more guests to partake of and enjoy.”

The steakhouse’s menu boasts 16 cuts of beef, lamb, pork, chicken and sausage, which are prepared in the traditional Brazilian method – over an open flame – and carved tableside by the restaurant’s gauchos. The concept comes to life through the illustrious red and green cards, which guests use to indicate when they’d like to sample more cuts of meat, or when they need to take a break. In addition, diners can also help themselves to the fresh gourmet salad area, which features more than 50 delicious items, such as imported cheeses, charcuterie, Brazilian black beans, roasted vegetables and the ever-tempting lobster bisque.  The dining experience is also enhanced by the extensive award-winning wine list, rich in South American varietals.

Area residents can sign up for the Texas de Brazil e-club and start receiving special promotions and exclusive offers to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries and much more. Simply visit TexasdeBrazil.com and click on “Receive Deals” to join.
